We have a great opportunity for a Freelance Director, Brand Marketing!!! In this role, the Freelance Director, Brand Marketing has strategic marketing experience, leadership, creativity, and communications expertise, with a strong reputation for successfully leading and developing trade-facing go-to-market messaging, brand positioning, and flawlessly executing client experiences that drive demand in the marketplace to drive revenue generation for FOX News Media's portfolio of cross-platform properties and products.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with key points of contact on communicating with internal stakeholders across the organization (Research, Events, Production, Sales, Design and more)
Oversees and ensures internal process implementation, tracking documents, and managing the team's day-to-day workflow
Leads brainstorm meetings and crafts best-in-class brand narratives, positioning, and sales materials with minimal oversight, leveraging marketplace insights and research to deliver on key messaging strategies
Crafts larger-scale strategic marketing collateral and positioning decks for new products and platforms including ongoing content development and maintenance of FOX News Media's Ad Sales trade site and corresponding social amplification strategy
Serves as main point of contact for research requests for brand positioning materials, collateral, and incoming RFPs - analyzing quantitative data and audience insights to craft compelling stories and create key narratives
Directs high-touch client experience throughout the planning, on-the-ground execution, and communication with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and clients
Oversees end-to-end process for digital and print collateral for eblasts and client mailers, client contact lists, and associated databases
Aligns closely with the senior leads in the department in communicating and implementing priorities
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Minimum 7+ years of experience at an agency, media company, or sales organization where the individual was responsible for presentation, positioning, creative and promotion development
Experience in television, digital, new media, events, and project management with an interest in politics, business, and News marketing
In-depth understanding of digital research and ability to determine how best to apply sales and industry research into sales RFP responses and marketing materials to best complement the greater story being told for the digital sales organization
Knowledge of relevant linear and digital syndicated and custom research tools i.e., Comscore, MRI Simmons, etc., and their application to the sales process; ability to effectively synthesize data, glean insights, and organize information to create a strong sales story/distinct positioning
Deep understanding of the Digital and Digital TV ecosystem and experience with Branded Content, Programmatic, Streaming, OTT/CTV strategies
Excellent oral, written, proofreading, and presentation skills; excellent comprehension and ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively
Strong understanding of media ad sales process, marketing strategy, media buying and planning functions, digital platforms, and ad formats; familiarity with Celebrity News Editorial, Talent, and Media Relations processes a plus
Thorough knowledge and proven experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.)
