Reports To: Sr Manager / Director, Sales Intelligence & Insights

Job Summary:

This role is a vital role of the North American organization. This role will help shape the development, prioritization, and delivery of the US Pest team's long-term plan by leveraging data architecture and analysis to develop best-of-breed insights and recommendations that drive revenue and profit growth.

As a member of the Sales Intelligence & Insights team, this role will work closely with sales leadership to proactively develop & scale both existing & new ongoing tracking, quantitative projects, & self-serve tools from end to end. This role will serve as the owner and "source of truth" for all sales and business intelligence for its designated sales category/categories (Inside Sales, Field Sales, National Accounts, and/or Route 1 Sales). It will require strong collaboration, alignment with market-level and category leadership, and significant knowledge of sales strategies, company services, pricing, and customer acquisition/retention.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Development, rollout, and maintenance of required harmonized dashboards or specific sales category (RNA & TMX)

  • Create processes of checks and balances to ensure accurate data is delivered to stakeholders alignment with data governance definitions

  • Identify strategic opportunities to drive new sales through analysis and develop long-lasting, data-driven solutions

  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce planning

  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis including strategic summaries and recommendations based on research and data to drive high-impact results to senior leadership

  • Train, retain, and manage 1-2 data analysts, strategists, and/or developers

  • Comprehensive, expert understanding of sales category/categories including:

    • Top Services & Products at the market level

    • Sales & Revenue Targets

    • Conversion & Win Rates

    • Customer journey (prospect to revenue)

    • Salesperson strategy (prospect to completed sale)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Category Reporting & Analysis:

  • Proactively identify intelligence needs throughout designated sales category/categories including workforce planning

  • Design, develop, & deliver new comprehensive dashboards using advanced methods of combining charts, maps, timelines, and infographics that can communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Track and report against key corporate and sales initiative and KPIs

Maintenance & Optimization:

  • Monitor, improve, and/or consolidate current data tools to support business growth

  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities to drive new sales through analysis and develop long-lasting, data-driven solutions

  • Manage multiple large, complex data projects from end to end that often have cross-functional dependencies

Governance & Accuracy:

  • Create processes of checks and balances to ensure accurate data is delivered to stakeholders alignment with data governance definitions

  • Assists in writing complex business rules to provide additional reporting capabilities

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with business teams, leadership, and end consumers to manage scope and drive priorities

  • Train, retain, and manage 1-2 data analysts, strategists, and/or developers

Key Relationships:

  • Sales Leadership

  • Operations Leadership

  • Market-level Director's of Finance

  • IT; Specifically BI

  • Cross-functional areas including IT, Transformation, Finance, HR, Product, and Marketing

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years experience managing a team

  • 5+ years data/analytical experience including 2+ years sales and financial, compensation, and/or large budget management

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics:

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong understanding of data governance and quality control

  • Strong presentation, verbal and written skills are a must due to participation in communications with senior management and the broader organization

  • Experience harmonizing data across multiple systems

  • Ability to build trusted partnerships and influence others throughout the organization

  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing growth tactics

  • Advanced reporting tool development

  • Ability to understand systems, issues, and limitations and identify solutions

  • Self-driven and independent

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, statistics, sales/marketing, or related field - Required

  • Master's degree - Preferred

  • Internal OS (iRIS, PestPac, Anaplan, WDS, etc.) experience or knowledge - Preferred

  • Other technologies (Qlik, Big Query) - Preferred

Travel expectations: 25%

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.
  • Must successfully meet pre-employment background screen

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm's reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
