Job Purpose Statement

Operates a variety of production equipment, assembles various components into completed or partially completed products or assemblies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Support and adhere to Parker's Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures and observe housekeeping guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.
  2. Perform assigned duties in conformance with established production standards and following established work instruction
  3. Assembles product, following specifications, work instruction or blueprints.
  4. Use of hand tools safely and effectively (press, torque wrenches, drills, etc.)
  5. Assists in testing completed product.
  6. Responsible for maintaining quality of work utilizing judgement, measuring devices and gauges
  7. Participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and customer complaint resolution efforts.
  8. Participate in daily area clean up and more significant facility clean-up efforts as assigned.
  9. Accept reassignment to other departments as workload dictates.
  10. Required to provide continue training to all employees and performs other duties as necessary.

Job Type: Full - Time

Shift/Pay Rate:

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 4:30PM - $17.50

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 4:00PM - 2:30AM - $17.50 plus $1.00 shift premium

You are expected to work two Mandatory Saturdays out of each month.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required: one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, work orders, procedures, prints, and short correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with engineers, managers, and other associates to share information and help to solve problems.

Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities: Computer skills including MS Word and Excel preferred. May require climbing ladders.
