A BRIEF OVERVIEW

Orchid is seeking a strategic leader to develop, implement, and lead global supply chain strategies, talent, practices, and processes in partnership with the COO, VPs of Operations, Plant Managers, and site Supply Chain team members.

This role is responsible for and participates in process improvement projects designed to enhance delivery, lead time, logistics optimization, financial performance, and operational efficiency.

In this role, you will have a team of global supply chain professionals directly reporting to you and will coach, mentor, and lead Supply Chain team members across our manufacturing facilities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop and communicate a vision for enhanced stability, predictability, and continuous improvement across all dimensions of supply chain management.
  • Drive operational excellence in supply chain capabilities through the development of a strategic roadmap that focuses on improving productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, including coaching and mentoring direct and indirect reports on "best practice" implementation.
  • Collaborate on business proposals, particularly those involving new growth opportunities, Greenfield sites, or multi-site supply chain planning.
  • Act as the executive sponsor to sell the strategy, tools, and processes created and implemented by the Supply Chain team including:
    • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Global Capacity planning
    • Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process
    • Inventory management
    • M2M upgrade and APS implementation
    • Supplier performance management
    • Cost savings/cost avoidance
    • Strategic partnerships
    • Contract negotiation and management


EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor (Required)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Preferred)


EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ Years of Experience in Supply Chain Management - with Experience in Supply Planning, Production Scheduling, Materials Management, and Logistics (Required)
  • 7+ Years of experience Leading a Supply Chain Planning Team (Required)
  • 7+ years experience building contemporary supply planning processes which have delivered consistently high customer satisfaction and improving labor productivity (Required)
  • 7+ years experience connecting complicated supply chains, involving multiple sites and multiple BOM levels (Required)
  • 3+ years operations experience - running single or multiple factories (Required)
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning and Material Requirements Planning Systems (Required)
  • Manufacturing Experience (Required)
  • Experience leading in an organization with a structured business planning process - IBP, SIOP, S&OP (Preferred)


LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) - The Association for Operations Management (APICS) (Preferred)

PAY RATE

For positions located in California, pay for this job type falls within the following range and varies based on scope and complexity of job responsibilities.

$170,000.00 - $250,000.00
