Environmental Project Manager

S&ME is seeking an individual to join our Environmental team in Memphis, Tennessee as a Project Manager to help lead our growing team.


What You Will Do:

As a Project Manager, you will oversee environmental projects in Memphis and surrounding areas, ensuring excellence in quality, safety, and execution while nurturing client relations across various sectors. This role involves conducting assessments, investigations, and remedial designs, managing compliance, and engaging stakeholders to meet environmental regulations and sustainability goals. You will also have knowledge of environmental sampling and testing methods as well as general knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct environmental site assessments and remedial investigations.
  • Facilitate remedial design and environmental permitting.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Cultivate client relationships and collaborate with stakeholders for project success.

Who You Are:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or related field
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of environmental consulting experience
  • You have at least 1 year of proven work experience as a project manager; monitoring project scope, schedule, and budget, communicating with clients, oversight project execution, invoicing, budget tracking, and change order/modification requests
  • You have a Professional registration in Tennessee
  • You have experience interacting with regulatory agencies/representatives
  • You have knowledge and the ability to use ArcView and AutoCAD, a plus
  • You have OSHA 1910.120 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training, a plus
