Job Description
Day & Zimmermann is actively accepting applications for Field Engineers to be based on site in Stanton, TN.

Day & Zimmermann Field Engineers will assist with field activities at the project site and perform field walkdowns to ensure that the engineering designs are being followed per the work package. Field Engineers ensure on site efficiency and safety at all times

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
  • Ability to communicate technical documents, specify materials, develop work packages, generate as-builts, develop RFIs, resolve installation issues, develop change requests etc.
  • Ability to work independently, use problem-solving judgment and organize and prioritize work assignments
  • Ability to conduct oneself professionally and with diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality where necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Support construction with the resolution of technical issues
  • Develop comprehensive work packages
  • Assist in material procurement and material receipt inspection
  • Validate status reporting for construction quantities
  • Develop as-builts at completion of project
  • Perform physical and virtual walk downs
What You Need To Bring To The Table:
  • High school diploma required; some college or post secondary education preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of applicable experience or BS Degree in engineering
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, 3D CAD tools including BIM management applications

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $87,000-$144,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
