Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for organizational change and continuous improvement for Manufacturing and Distribution Departments. Responsible for assisting Manufacturing and Distribution Managers produce and distribute consistently higher quality products, with shorter lead times, at reduced costs for the ultimate goal of increased customer satisfaction and Company profit. Determines the optimal methods for producing and shipping products that will ensure the company's position as low cost producer in the market place.

* Develops and leads project work across multiple disciplines and multiple plant locations.
* Responsible for the conception, development, justification and implementation of manufacturing processes to achieve corporate objectives in safety, quality, costs, and delivery.
* Interacts with all plant engineering and shop floor personnel.
* Accountable for defining, planning and executing continuous improvement projects by leveraging solid project management skills and the activities of plant engineers and personnel.
* Conceives and implements projects to meet growth and productivity initiatives in support of corporate profitability objectives.
* Leads activities to improve production and equipment through application of lean manufacturing concepts.
* Supports and may lead the design of safe processes and equipment.
* Provides continuous improvement ideas based on current and new technologies, and effectively communicates engineering information to plant personnel.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high profile exposure to plant management and corporate executive management.
* Travel required, 10 to 20 %
